At the end of 2016 I read the “Surrender Experience” by Michael Sinner.
I decided to make 2017 my own Surrender Experience; to say yes to what has presented itself right in front of me. To trust the unknown and deepen my relationship with faith. To surrender is easy when in flow, but as I declared a larger commitment to my business obstacles began to appear…
In the past obstacles took me off course. This time I used my new tools, meditation and yoga Nidra, to sharpen my skills and stay on track. I acknowledged my fear, I invited the feeling in, began a new relationship to each new feeling and stood steadfast in my commitment to growth. I knew that unless I stood up for myself I would re-experience the scenario over and over again. So, I decided to deal with everything head on, keeping my head high and smiling through the process. This very much helped me to have an easier experience.
In June I verbally, out loud, promised & declared that I needed to up-level my online presence. I needed to break old patterns. I had to make a really hard decision to let go of my assistant that I loved and adored. I felt too safe with her and I knew that I needed to work with someone who knew the wellness space and had the technical skills to make my vision become a reality. I declared that within one week I would meet the person who would up-level my brand. At the same time, I was also urged to let go of my perfectionism traits, coming out of my social media comfort zone. This meant becoming more public with my story. Breaking old habits by becoming comfortable with the uncomfortable.
I didn’t know how all of this was going to come together in one week but I stepped into trust and took action. Within 3 days of posting my imperfect pictures on Instagram, Darren showed up and patiently explained the ‘how’ that I deeply desired to know. Off we went.
Good relationships are a two-way street.
Simultaneously as I was asking for him to come into my business and life ~ he was in a similar space. Perfect timing requires letting go of the outcome. Again and again I have seen this play out in my life. The most productive growth has arrived by moving through obstacles with excitement and courage, leaving struggle behind.
Let us begin anew. For me 2018 is about:
- Breaking through; making thoughts and desires become your reality
- Releasing old feelings that contradict what is most important to you
- Become curious about your growth; discover what you don’t know
- Surprise yourself about how easy taking the next step could be
- Let go of black or white thinking – find the magic in a new place
- Give up trying to be right, life is more fun when we drop our ego
2018 has a lot of potential. Not just because it’s a new year, but because it is a new you! For me personally my mantra is to surrender deeply into this process. I have gained so much faith that I look at up-leveling as a game; ultra clear of what I want and who I want to become and ensure that I deeply desire it, then ask for it. So..
- What is it that you deeply desire?
- Who do you want to become?
- What do you have to let go off to become her/him?
- Where are you on the pendulum of no, yes, maybe?
- Are you clear about your goals?
Being fearless starts with saying yes to life. Sometimes we have to reboot in order to move forward. And with so much information, and fluff, it can be easy to get lost in the confusion. Know that I am here to help. Help guide you through the process, ask the right questions and keep you in the YES zone.
